Tegel

The foot-bridge leading to the house I prayed over.
 Sept. 14th
I awoke in the night and the name, "Tegel" was running through my mind.  Very odd.  When I awoke in the morning, it was still there, "Tegel, Tegel..."   I decided that the Lord was telling me to do my prayer walk in Tegel that day.  Tegel is in in the north of Berlin almost on the out-skirts. When I arrived I said, "Okay Holy Spirit, which way?"  He led me straight to the old town part of Tegel.  It is really cute.  The street is closed to cars and winds all the way down to the river Havel with shops on either side.  I walked through the shopping area and then came to a very lovely old church building.  I immediately sensed the Holy Spirit wanted me to pray around this church.  Its name was Evangelische Kirche Alt-Tegel.  I prayed for revival to come down upon the people who attend that church.  There was a grassy, park-like are in front of the church and as I prayed, I imagined it full of revivalists.

I walked to the water and over the beautiful foot-bridge and came to the gorgeous house on the water that I had first seen and admired last summer.  As soon as I passed it, the Holy Spirit said, "Okay,  you can stop now.  Turn around and claim that house for my kingdom."  I was really surprised.  Was that just me, or was it the Holy Spirit?  I decided to just believe it was the Holy Spirit speaking to me and not my own thoughts and I claimed that house for the kingdom. As I prayed I could envision a lively Christian community in the house with seminars and care for the needy. When I was finished I walked back down the way I had come and decided to turn left and go further on.  As I did so, the Holy Spirit spoke into my heart again and said, 'You're not done yet.  Walk behind the house and pray all around it."  So I did.  After that I walked down the path and everything was so lovely it took my breath away.  I decided to return the next day as Tegel is so big it felt like it needed two days of prayer.

So I did return the next day and prayed on the opposite side of the river.  I was able to look back and see the house I claimed for the Kingdom of God.  I also once again felt led to pray revival at the old church building.  There was a wedding at the building which made me wonder if this was in any way significant to my praying.
