Greifswalder Prayer Walk - Oct. 2nd

Tereza & Kim

I had seen a garden kolony along the tracks just outside of Greifswalder U-Bahn and wanted to pray there and so Tereza and I went there first.  I am always amazed at the cuteness and uniqueness of the plots.  I feel the joy of the Lord in those places.  While we prayed, I had a sense that no one had ever prayed in there before.  That is always a wonderful revelation - to be the first one praying.  From there we walked several blocks till we came to a park that had a small stone structure very similar to Stonehenge.  On the stones were carved very strange symbols.  We both had an impression that sacrifices had been made in this place.  We annointed the whole structure and cancelled all curses.  After that I felt that we should literally pray for the destruction of the stones.  We prayed that all would come crumbling down.  Then we walked around the park and prayed more in tongues.

From there we walked down beautiful isolated walkways past Kitas and Schules which we prayed for.  We were kind of lost but I had a strong sense to go in a certain direction.  We were so glad I did because we were led right to a parking lot that had a huge stone wall with this graffiti on it!

We were so excited!  What a shock to find something like this in Berlin.  So...there are actually some Christians hanging in this area?  One older lady walked by and said something like, "Isn't that stupid?"  We said, "No!  It's wonderful!"  We had fun taking pictures and it was a fantastic end to my prayer walks with Tereza from Prague.

Prenzlauerberg - October 1

My friend Tereza was with me again today.  As we were walking from my house to the train, we talked to a woman who was pregnant.  We prayed for her baby and left her with some Christian material.   Then we met a man who was sitting on the outside of the park wall and we talked to him for a long time.  We left him with a bible, a tract and lots of prayer.  In Prenzlauger Berg we walked up one side of the main street praying for the business's and then back down on the other side.  We prayed in tongues and sang some songs as well.

Schonhauser Allee - Sept. 28

A good friend and fellow evangelist from Prague came to Berlin to visit and went on my prayer walks with me this week.  As soon as we walked out of the train station, Tereza began talking to a guy named Kevin.  He didn't want any of our Jesus but we loved on him and blessed him anyway.  We walked on a little way and Tereza began talking to a young salesgirl on the street.  After Tereza presented the gospel to her, she said that she wanted to receive Jesus!  So, Teresa took her hands and together they prayed for Jesus to come into her heart.  Hallelujah!  Tereza was floating on clouds after this and of course all the angels in heaven were rejoicing.  Unfortunately the girl was not from Berlin but we were able to leave a bible with her and we prayed that the Lord would lead her to Christians in her city.

Soon after this, we came to a building that was very dark spiritually.  It may have been a squat building - it was hard to tell - but there was a new age type business operating and Tereza felt led to annoint the building with oil while we prayed many prayers to take that place for the Kingdom of Jesus.

From there we walked to the Mauer Park.  We climbed the hill which overlooks the park & city and prayed for a long time making proclamations for Berlin.

Gesundbrunnen Prayer Walk Sept. 20

The Holy Spirit led me to turn left out of the train station.  I walked about 1/2 mile praying for the territory and the Muslim population.  Then I felt led to turn right and I encircled a huge Technic University which also had spaces for different business's.  It was a massive building with high walls and I felt led to pray that walls fall in Berlin.

The Rose Garden

After the big building I came to the back of Humboldthain Park - which is a massive park not far from the Gesundbrunnen Train Station.  I traversed the whole park and saw things that I had never seen before such as the swimming pool and slides.  I arrived at the Rose Garden which I'd forgotten all about.  I went in there to pray and take notes.  As the park is so beautiful, I had a sweet time with the Holy Spirit.

Wedding Prayer Walk Sept. 19

Today the Holy Spirit led me to a huge gold cross.  It seemed to be shinning out of the darkness of Berlin.  It turned out to be in a French graveyard - the kind caretaker told me.   He also told me that a famous French man is buried there who helped to plan & establish the streets and structure of modern Berlin.  I found his grave and had a look in the museum.  I would never have thought to pray for the French population in Berlin and as I walked around the beautiful cemetery I did just that.

I left the cemetery and found that the street I was on had many different cemeteries.  I prayed for all the people who would visit the cemeteries and for the Holy Spirit to fall in those places.

Westhafen

Today I walked right to the port of Westhafen which is a huge industrial area.  The street that I went down happened to be one in which was blocked off to cars unless you have a pass to enter.  It didn't feel right for me to walk in and so I turned around and walked back.  There was a food-cart stand, seemingly for the workers of the port with 2 little tables and chairs.  I felt led to leave a bible on one of the tables and did so.  After that I walked down the main road till I reached Leopold Platz and went to a church building (behind the platz) where I prayed for fire to fall down.  As I was sitting on the steps of the church and praying, a gypsy woman approached me.  She wanted money and I offered to pray for her.  She smiled and let me pray for her.  It was good.

Tegel

The foot-bridge leading to the house I prayed over.
 Sept. 14th
I awoke in the night and the name, "Tegel" was running through my mind.  Very odd.  When I awoke in the morning, it was still there, "Tegel, Tegel..."   I decided that the Lord was telling me to do my prayer walk in Tegel that day.  Tegel is in in the north of Berlin almost on the out-skirts. When I arrived I said, "Okay Holy Spirit, which way?"  He led me straight to the old town part of Tegel.  It is really cute.  The street is closed to cars and winds all the way down to the river Havel with shops on either side.  I walked through the shopping area and then came to a very lovely old church building.  I immediately sensed the Holy Spirit wanted me to pray around this church.  Its name was Evangelische Kirche Alt-Tegel.  I prayed for revival to come down upon the people who attend that church.  There was a grassy, park-like are in front of the church and as I prayed, I imagined it full of revivalists.
Evangelische Kirche Alt-Tegel
I walked to the water and over the beautiful foot-bridge and came to the gorgeous house on the water that I had first seen and admired last summer.  As soon as I passed it, the Holy Spirit said, "Okay,  you can stop now.  Turn around and claim that house for my kingdom."  I was really surprised.  Was that just me, or was it the Holy Spirit?  I decided to just believe it was the Holy Spirit speaking to me and not my own thoughts and I claimed that house for the kingdom. As I prayed I could envision a lively Christian community in the house with seminars and care for the needy. When I was finished I walked back down the way I had come and decided to turn left and go further on.  As I did so, the Holy Spirit spoke into my heart again and said, 'You're not done yet.  Walk behind the house and pray all around it."  So I did.  After that I walked down the path and everything was so lovely it took my breath away.  I decided to return the next day as Tegel is so big it felt like it needed two days of prayer.

So I did return the next day and prayed on the opposite side of the river.  I was able to look back and see the house I claimed for the Kingdom of God.  I also once again felt led to pray revival at the old church building.  There was a wedding at the building which made me wonder if this was in any way significant to my praying.
