WestKreuz
I will be writing about my prayer walks in this blog. I started prayer walking Berlin on Sept. 6, 2012. I had the idea to walk every single station on the train system in Berlin. I decided to start on the Ring-Bahn which is the train that encircles the main city of Berlin. I decided to start at the station furthest from my home which was Westkreuz. When I came out of the station I prayed and asked the Holy Spirit to direct which way I walked and this has become the pattern for me. On this day, I inadvertently walked to the station just before Westkreuz which is Messe-Nord. From Messe-Nord I kept walking until I came to a beautiful park. While walking in this park, I felt led to pray that the spirit of joy would fall and Christians would gather in the parks to celebrate Jesus. After walking halfway around the lake, I exited the park and walked in front of some beautiful buildings that bordered the lake. One of them had a sign in front that was in German. I wish I could have read it. It had the words DDR and 30,000 people - it seemed like it might be a building that held the records of all the spying that the DDR did during the Communist era but I wasn't sure. I felt led to pray for redemption of the generations. I also felt the blessing of the Lord in that place and prayed that minds would be open to know His love and favor.
